"Sweet model" for OUAS, GC, MCS challenges

Hello everyone!

I stayed up late one night (2 am) and finished a layout in order to participate in a few challenges...I just couldn't resist that beautiful sketch by Nadia Cannizzo made for OUAS! I missed the last one and I was SO sad...free time lately is like a dream come true...lol 

With that layout I am also entering the challenge at Get Creative for using tags as an embellishment and the challenge at MCS for playing with punches! 



The photos of Nefeli are not so bold in real life but I only know how to press the "auto fix" button in Photoshop elements...lol...I have used Webster's pages "Sweet season" and I was inspired by an old layout of Nadia's where her lovely daughters were eating lollipops!!! Nefeli is only 7 or 8 months old in these photos and I used the left one to make her baptism invitation! She was my sweet model that summer day...

"Gone fishing" #126**The Scrappiest**

Ok ladies...now that's what I call a challenge! Sketch #126 gave me a hard time...I decided to do (as usual) what first came into my mind when I saw it...and that was a sailing boat..LOL..apparently, Lynette Jacobs who is in the design team with me at "The Scrappiest" , had the same thought! Isn't that funny? As Liz (the owner) said, "it is so intriguing what some creative minds see and others don't"...Well, I would LOVE to see what you will come up with using that sketch!!! I am really curious!!!

 That's my "unusual" take...lol It is not something I would usually make but I hate to say no to a good challenge!

 

I used papers from the "Rusted sun" collection by Fancy Pants and the sea shells as well as the starfish are collected by me from the beach in Samos island!!! Oh and the photo is also taken while I was fishing with my dad in front of our house in Samos!!! We always come out with our bucket full of fishes!!! (ok...small ones...haha)

"Graduation"**The Scrappiest"#125

Hi there everyone!

I don't often make multi photo layouts, but that sketch #125 by Liz Chidester for "The Scrappiest", is exactly what one needs to get started!!! It REALLY helped me and inspired me to use so many photos! 

You should also check the lovely layouts the rest of the DT  has made!

That layout is dedicated to my sister in law who is now officially a Civil engineer! I was working that day so I am not in those photos but my girls and my DH are!!!(down left corner)..don't they look alike a lot?

I have used "Sweet threads" by Basic Grey, and a medium sized doily for the masking!

The glimmer mists I used are:

Bahama blue 

Key lime pie 

Oriental poppy   

and

Starfish 

which is out of stock but you can find it in the kit at Enjoy Scrapping!

A HUGE thank you, to all of you lovely people who have congratulated me and have left me a nice comment! I appreciate it VERY much! As you can see, I have put some tabs on the top of my blog which I will update every time I achieve something in the scrap world and I will stop posting. I feel that I've been bragging quite often lately LOL so enough of that. I was very excited because everything happened so quickly…. So I will just announce any DT or GDT positions from now on.

And some good news!!!

I have seen in many blogs and galleries that some layouts were out for publication...I was wondering what one has to do to get published so I googled "Scrapbboking magazines" and I visited just one of them "Scrapbook news and review" to see how it's working! I made an application for 6-7 layouts and then I got bored 'cause you have to give a list of all the stuff you have used...I thought.."ok..that's enough..they won't choose me anyway so why bother?"...but after several days I got an email which said "It’s our pleasure to inform you that the following project(s) has been accepted for publication in our next issue, Volume #4, Issue #6:

Bouquet of rose kisses"

Wow...I really NEVER expected that one....It is an on-line magazine where you have to pay subscription to read it! Well, I will surely pay for the next issue!!! LOLOLOL....haha

June is here so summer is here as well and I am SO happy!!! Have a nice creative month!
