I got grungy!!! Scrap for Help

Hello friends and followers!

Today I will share with you a special project!

This is the first time I tried the style called "Grungy"...I got my hands dirty!!!

As you might know, I usually make romantic, girly layouts filled with flowers and dreamy mood...

Well, with my mood hitting red during last month and growing stronger inside, through various, complicated situations, I got inspired and made this grungy composition. I just let my emotions go free all over the page..anger, passion,despair....sweetness...love...

I really enjoyed it, I love the result...I hope you like it too...it is made by my heart and soul and that's what matters the most...

p.s the quality of the dog's photo is not so good but I will replace it as soon as I buy better photo paper (Cannon-I was out and had to use HP) And of course I should mention that I was also inspired by the very talented Finnabair!

This layout is my example as a design team member for the challenge blog "Scrap For Help"!

This time, as a recycle item, I used surgery bandage (it's placed behind the photo), a bottle cap and a beer tin cap!

Don't you just love that cute little puppy????

Some close up photos...

To accomplish this look, you paint your chip. letters with black acrylic paint, you apply a thick portion of crackle accents. When it is dry and you can see the crackles, you paint it all red and wipe off right away with a baby wipe! The red color goes inside the crackles and...voila...magic happens!

After that, you cover with glossy accents.

The vinyl cog and heart are "Purple Pumpkin"

The button with the mushroom is by "Eye candy magic"

The chip cog is Imaginarium designs and the red button is Purple pumpkin

This piece of paper comes from Cherry Nest and it gives the definition of a dog (like in a vocabulary).

Now...the initials "GLAC" is something I could never translate..I'm sorry...lol

OUAS & Get Creative sisterhood!!!

Hello bloggers!!!
A few changes and surprises at OUAS this time...

Over at Once Upon A...Sketch, we are nearing the end of our first year and during this time we have noticed a huge amount of support from many countries around the world and we are incredibly lucky that our challenges are supported by so many people from all different parts of the globe. One of these countries is Greece, and we have come to realise that we receive many entries from such a small country where scrapbooking is so new, so we had a think and decided to team up with another challenge blog based in Greece and run by our very own Irini Liolia called Get Creative. How exciting!! We have decided to become "sister" blogs, because let's face it...most of us scrapping are women and is there anything stronger than a sisterhood? So for this month only, the Design Team from Once Upon A..Sketch are guests over at Get Creative and taking part in their 1st and 15th of the month challenges and the Design Team from Get Creative are guests on Once Upon A..Sketch! Thus a new bond is formed between 2 challenge blogs.

Here is the sketch that the Once Upon A..Sketch Design Team had to follow. It is created by Get Creative Design Team member Elina Katechi.

And here is my take on the sketch...

I did a lot of fussy cutting, distressing, misting, painting, punching...well, I had FUN!!!!

The happy colors and the angelic face of Nefeli, also helped my mood!

To make this cut below, I drew inspiration from Melinda whose style I love SOOO much!!!

Thanks Melinda...it is just a small cut...I was afraid to make something bigger..one step at a time...lol

The scissors chip is Imaginarium designs and the heart & button are Purple Pumpkin!!!

Below ID butterfly which I colored with Sakura pens and added blings!!!

Below: The button is PP and the crochet butterfly is "Eye candy magic"

"You are the one" - Enjoy Scrapping

Hello my friends & followers!

If anyone is wondering where I've been...all I can say is I'm still here, struggling with everyday life's issues, not anything serious but many little things that gather up and make a pile...and then you explode...I've been a bit down lately...but I am raising up, day by day...slow but steady...I hope...! You know that I try to keep this blog only to scrapbooking stuff and this is why I never speak about personal things or I rarely post any photos...so I will not get into details...

SO!!!!!!!! Let's move on to the exciting stuff, shall we?????

A new kit full of happy and bright colors (which helps the mood) is available at Enjoy Scrapping!!! Watch the video that is provided to see how many fun embellishments you can find in it!!!

And here is an example of what you can do with all these stuff!!!
(sorry for the bad photos but it is very cloudy here)...

Use the tag as an embellishment! Paint it with colors that match your papers and tack it in there!! I did the same with that gorgeous big chip key!

Use the wooden hearts as masks and play with your mists! DON'T be afraid!!!
I did a little stamping as well with this lovely heart that's included in the kit!

And I also made a little card using this gorgeous floral paper!

Door hanger, Scrap for Help

Hello everyone!

Today I will share with you something I made for "Scrap for Help"!

It is a Christmas door hanger I made out of corrugated board. Other recycled materials that I've used are the Doily, the music paper and that red material for gift wrapping!

It is really easy to make and anyone can try this! I cut the cardboard at the size I wanted, I made it wet and scratched it so I could see the core. After that I painted it with acrylic dabbers and I put some gold stickles around. If you own a cropadile, make two holes, put the eyelets and it is ready to hang!

I was away for the holidays so this is a late post. Sorry for that!

January 1st Challenge

Journalling Criteria/theme: New Years Eve!

Our theme this time is New year's Eve. We would like you to journal about your feelings around this time of year, or tell us about your most memorable New Year's Eve. Where were you? Who were you with? What did you do? Why is this one memorable? Note: the photo that you use for this challenge does not have to necessarily be from New Years Eve. For example, if you spent New Years Eve with your family you can have a photo of your family taken ANY time of the year.

This is my take! We usually spend new year's eve having family dinner!

This is "Imaginarium Designs" chipboard which I have painted with various aclylic paints, I heat embossed the numbers with distress powder and I added crackle accents on top!

For the title I used ID phrase and a small house..

Here I have used ID Frame and numbers.

My girl, mini album Enjoy Scrapping

Hello my friends!

One last post before Christmas! I can't wait to get all together with my family for Christmas dinner!!..yummy..my grandmother will be cooking!!! YEAY!

I made a mini album which is all about my little girl Nefeli! I made it vintage and romantic because this is how she is...polite, sweet, the kind of girl any mother would wish for...I feel so blessed!

My little wonders, Bird is the word.

Hello Everyone!

How are you? Getting ready for Christmas day?

I wish everyone a Merry Merry Christmas!!! Have fun with your family!

I know I have neglected my blog a little bit but I have had some personal issues to deal with and I did not feel much creative...

A new word is up at "Bird is the word"....

"WONDER"

And it is with sorrow I must inform you that this is the last layout I create for BITW as I have resigned from the DT. I had the most wonderful time during my time There! Wendy is such a sweetheart, nice and polite and so cool!!! I made some really nice and talented friends and I am so gratefull for the experience!

I will miss you guys! Of course we will be in touch through blogging!

Decorations Once upon a sketch

Welcome everyone to another challenge at Once Upon A...Sketch. We are already in December and the end of the year is just around the corner.

December 1st Challenge

Journalling Criteria/theme: The thing I look most forward to in December.

Write at least 2 sentences on what you look forward to in the next month. December is a festive month so your journalling could be about the Christmas season, the holidays, the presents or if you do not celebrate Christmas what does December bring for you that you look most forward to? Note:You layout DOES NOT have to be about Christmas! It can be about anything December brings.

Other ideas for journalling: an annual holiday or celebration, a specific event such as putting up the Christmas tree or pre Christmas traditions you might have leading up to Christmas, family time, snow covered fields or warmer weather, time off work, school holidays, change of weather, new season fruit.

And this is my take on the challenge! I love the happy faces when we decorate our tree! We always listen to Christmas songs and we sing all together! It is such a lovely day to remember each year!!!

To make this layout I used the Webster's Botanical Christmas kit from Enjoy Scrapping!

I have already made 2 layouts and a mini album out of this kit and there are scraps left to even make some cards!!! Beautiful Christmas kit!!!

My projects with chipboard!

Hello ladies!

As you may have noticed, I have a thing with chipboard! When I 1st began scrapbooking, I bought the big shot and I have made my collection of dies but ONLY bigz so I can cut Chipboard..LOL!!!

You can't imagine my joy when I found out that all the Once Upon A...Sketch DT was sponsored by Imaginarium Designs !!! They have GORGEOUS designs and they are SO generous!!!!

Today I am going to share with you several projects where I have used chipboard!
ATTN: LONG POST...hehe...well...I love chipboard...

Listen to your heart
I have used this gorgeous Imaginarium Designs little frame which I painted black and I have randomly put some copper dabber paint on it.

I Adore you
I used sfragidomania heart frame which I painted with gesso and droped some glimmer mist!

I painted with white acrylic paint and stamped the music notes above it in pink!

I used ID for the title, the button and the girl figure .
Small button: I heat embossed it with black zing powder and then I stamped some music notes and heat embossed with white zing.
Girl figure: I painted it with acrylic, I stamped the notes and heat embossed with white Zing. After that I applied some pink glimmer glaze.
Title: I painted black and heat embossed with clear utee

Me & You

I cannot show it because it is going to be published in Scrapbooking memories,

but here is a close up of ID title!
I painted the title with red acrylic paint, I randomly distressed with black ink using a sponge and then I rubbed some stickles with my finger!

A moment in time

ID again!

I painted the phrase with espresso dabber and then I heat embossed it with clear UTEE.

The corner flourish was also painted with espresso, and a bit of watermelon and pool dabbers and then heat embossed with UTEE.

The window/fence, was heat embossed with walnut stain and broken china distress powders and some Ranger red pepper embossing powder and then I put crackle accents above!

Mini album "Friends" & you and me card.
This is a mini album from sfragidomania where I've used acrylic paints, stamps and heat embossing powders!!!

For this card :

Mini tutorial:

1) You paint the chipboard with acrylic paint

2) You apply crackle accents on top

3) When it is dry, you paint it all with another color

4) and immediately, before it dries, you take it off with a baby wipe.

The second color stays in the crackles and you get this awesome effect!!!

Isn't it cool????

Bouquet of rose kisses
I painted the lamp with distress crackle paint, put some orange dabber randomly and cover with stickles!

Chocolate lover
I painted the heart dark brown, apllied random gold dabber, cover with crackle accents and pour some glitter on top!

Vintage me
I did the same as above to the letters and I covered the cage with crackle paint and orange dabber!

Miracle:
Here I have painted the cage green and blue and heat embosed it with distress embossing powder!

Beautiful Dreamer Enjoy Scrapping

Hello my wonderful friends!

The sweetest girl Lena from Enjoy Scrapping, sent me the gorgeous "Beautiful Dreamer" kit by Glitz to make some projects! The papers and embellishments are SO beautiful that the kit is sold out already!!!

However, I am going to show you a layout I made with it and in a few days I will complete a romantic mini album! I hope I will inspire the ladies that have already bought it and give you some ideas!

This is my "Beautiful Dreamer" DD Ioli....

And some close ups....

Here, I cut my background paper (using this fab tool) to create a short of pocket because I didn't want to hide the flowers in the corner! I distressed my papers using the "distrezz it all"!

I glimmer misted the doily with starfish & Bahama blue. I cut the lace in small piecies and adhered it around the doily and painted it with pink glimmer glaze. I have put the round transparency in the middle and added white and pink liquid pearls!

Inside the flowers I have put some distress stickles to give them texture! You are gonna want to eat them! LOL!

I painted my letters with pink glimmer glaze and mermaid glimmer glam! I LOVE these products! I must get some more colors!!!!

And that was the kit...I am sorry it is sold out...we did not expect that...

Lena is REALLY good in puting kits together! She has such an excellent taste!!!

For this layout, I used the sketch from "Stuck?! Sketches"

I have stop mentioning my success/features..etc...because I felt like I bored you to death...LOL

I just put them right away in my Resume. But there are many friends that email me or even call me and tell me "Hey! Did you see your were featured there?" So I guess a few people are interesting in knowing my steps and achievements and share the joy so I desided to mention a few features this time....

My card "Hope" was featured at "InspireME" Webster's pages ning site!!! And I am not so fond of cards but don't tell anyone ok???...sssssshhhhh...

and then my layout "You brighten our lifes" was featured at "Sketchabilities"

And my "I Adore you" layout was a favorite at "Sketchy Thursdays"

And a last one..I got an email once again from SNR magazine that 7 of my layouts are published in their latest issue!!! Yeah!!!

Hello my friends!

A new week just started and it is going to be a cold one!!! Brrrr....

I had a fun and creative weekend! I made a lot of projects that are coming up in the following days!

Today I will share with you a Christmas mini album I made using the beautiful :

"Webster's Botanical Cristmas kit from "Enjoy Scrapping"!

And this is what I came up with!

It is a mini album which I will fill up with our 2011 Christmas photos!!!

I painted the covers with red dabber and then I heat embossed some white embossing powder on a script stamp! Doesn't it look great?

I will make a new post in a few days with the layout I made with the new kit from Enjoy Scrapping

Hello my friends!!!

A new week begins and a new word is up at "Bird is the Word"......

"ADORE"

I made this layout at a Greek crop, surrounded by FANTASTIC people which I LOVE...As I told you in my last post, it is amazing how many good friends I have made through scrapbooking! I really feel blessed!!! So many things have changed for me! I admit that it is tiring to catch up with all my scrapping obligations but I am going to work on that because the point is to have fun right?....

Anyway...here is my sweetheart Ioli...just one smile from her is enough to erase any problems!!!

"Dear Santa" Scrap for Help & Enjoy Scrapping!

Hello again!

Today I will share with you the layout I did for "Scrap for Help"!

The recycled item I used is the white corrugated piece to mat my photo!

The theme this time is Christmas!!! I love the festive mood and I can't wait for Christmas to come!!!

It is the 1st of the month which means that a new challenge is up at Once Upon A Sketch!

"Precious" A layout for a friend!

Hello dear friends and followers!!!

I haven't posted anything for a while now but I've been BUSY!!!

I made 4 layouts in the last 3 days!!! I will be sharing them with you during the week!

The first one is a layout I made for a friend and that's why the face of the baby is blur!

I used the sketch #57 from "Sketchabillities"

I used a Crafter's workshop stencil for the background and misted with "Key lime pie" !

The tag comes out and the parents can write something for their precious baby!

I had the chance to use my new Sew Easy scallop piercer which I just LOOOOVED!!!

I am also entering the challenge at My Creative Scrapbook forum,

where you have to do stitching on your layout!

"Φως μου" Cherry Nest!!!

Hello my friends!

Today's post is about a layout I made using the lovely "Cherry Nest products"!!! You can more projects in their blog--->HERE... So...I will continue in Greek...

Σε αυτή τη φώτο είναι η Νεφέλη μου σε μια εκδρομή που είχαμε πάει στην Αίγινα! Αυτό το χαρτί ταίριαξε τέλεια με την φωτο γιατί είναι πολύ φωτεινή και το χαρτί έχει τις ακτίνες του ήλιου! Ετσι προέκυψε και ο τίτλος!!!

Χρησιμοποίησα για τον τίτλο την Αλφάβητο μαυρο/κρεμ bingo vintage, τα vintage γράμματα , απο τα σχέδια για τύπωμα το αγάπη μπίνγκο vintage ,το χαρτί πρωϊνό φτερούγισμα (δεν ειναι τελειο???), το ροζ tab (ετικέτα) και ένα μικρό κομμάτι απο το pied de poule τυπωμένο πάνω σε φουξια χαρτί!!!

Το κουμπί με το κοριτσάκι είναι Purple Pumpkin!

Hello friends!!!!!!!!

I had a tiring but very exciting weekend!!!!

The Greek e-shop "Enjoy Scrapping" participated in the first ever Greek crafts exhibition, organized by "ftiaxto.gr"!!!! As their designer and friend, I helped out to demonstrate live on "ustream", what Scrapbooking is, what you can make with this hobby and what tools there are available in the industry!

Καλά κορίτσια...γλώσσα δεν έβαλα μέσα όλο το Σάββατο! χαχαχαχα

Μάλλιασε η γλώσσα μου να λέω για το πουλί και το κλουβί που έκοψα με το big shot!!!

Έφαγα μόνο ενα τοστ και ενα λουκουμά (να είναι καλά το Κατερινάκι που μας κέρασε & την Ζεφφυ που έφερε τοστάκια στο τέλος) και πήγα μόνο μια φορα τουαλέτα...χιχιχιχι Αυτό σημαίνει βέβαια πως είχε μεγάλη επιτυχία και ΠΟΛΥ κόσμο!!!

Σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ όλους που ήρθατε και όσους είδαν την παρουσίαση απο το σπίτι αλλά και τα κορίτσια, Ελίνα & Βάλια απο το ftiaxto.gr, που οργάνωσαν την έκθεση!

Χάρηκα που γνώρισα και κάποιες κοπέλες απο κοντά (Νατασσα, Κατια, Φλώρα, Ολυμπία...και πολλές άλλες) και εύχομαι να τα ξαναπούμε στο μεγάλο κροπ που οργανώνει η Ειρήνη Λιόλια απο το "Get Creative" στις 5 Νοεμβρίου! Πατήστε ΕΔΩ για πληροφορίες!

Hi there blogger friends!

Today I will share with you another layout I made using Cherry Nest products!

It is a school layout that includes a photo of my eldest DD's schoolyard!

Products used:

μοντέρνο πορτοκαλί - λευκό γραμμικό χαρτί Α4 , την αλφάβητο μαυροπίνακα απο την σειρά για το σχολείο , ετικέτα απο τη σειρά σχολικό σημειωματάριο , καρτέλα σχολείο μπίνγκο vintage , και τα vintage γράμματα.

I just finished one more layout in A4 size (my 1st), using a new paper from Cherry Nest which will be soon posted at their blog----> HERE

A nice Lady from Germany e-mailed me and asked me to be their Guest Designer at "Selbst Portrait Challenge"!!! It is a photography challenge blog but the prizes are scrapbooking stuff!!! It was really fun and for those of you who love taking photos, is a great opportunity to join in the fun!!!

"Together" -- Bird is the word!

Well...today I have mixed feelings...I wanted to share some happy news about my feature at "The color Room" but my mood is so bad because a good friend of mine had a great loss and it had a big impact on me...I can't understand why bad things happen to such nice people...well...HE knows better I guess...

Anyway....as always..life moves on...and time heals...

There is a new challenge word for you at "Bird Is The Word"

"TOGETHER"

Today is a special word release day because.........................ournew design team will be revealing their very first Bird is the Wordprojects!!

So head on over to get some inspiration by the really talented fellow DT members!!!

Here is my take...It's a bit busy but I wanted to make a fun-happy-bright-childish layout about the playground and the slide they love so much!

I want to thank Katerina again (lol) for letting me use her sewing machine! You can tell it's my 1st attempt to use a machine..hahaha the stitching around the page is a bit unorthodox but I still like it because it is fun, like the rest of the layout!

And again I used a bit of gesso,mists and acrylic paints....

and also my favorite "sew easy" to hand stitch a little bit!

The papers are Echo Park "playground" and you can find them at "Enjoy Scrapping"! Perfect line for playground fun days!!!

"Me & You" My Creative Scrapbook Contest!

Hello my friends!

As I said in my last post, I was at a crop last Saturday and I started creating this layout which is based on a layout by Kim Keane for "My Creative Scrapbook" Big sketch contest through their challenge blog:

"My Creative Sketches".

This is my take of the sketch, using mostly their August main kit!

I had really fun making this layout! I used masks and mists, gesso, acrylic paints, stickles, heat embossing, fussy cutting....

The title is Imaginarium Designs which I painted red, distressed with black ink and covered with stickles!

I did some fussy cutting as well (actually my friend Katerina cut the flower at the crop..lol)..yeap, she helped me out because scrapping time at crops is limited! We mostly talk and laugh instead of scrapping!!Thanks Katerina!

Here, I used a paper doily as a mask and sprayed some glimmer mist!

The stamp is heat embossed with distress powder!

I also put some stickle dots around my doily to make it stand out!

I have used many pop dots to give a 3D effect!!!

I hope you like the outcome!
It is one of my favorite layouts since I LOVE this photo of my little girls!!!
