Once Upon A Sketch-August 1st "A Perfect day is..."

Hello everyone!

I am really excited to begin my scrapping journey with "Once Upon A sketch"!!!

AUGUST 1st CHALLENGE

Journalling Criteria: Finish this line "A PERFECT DAY IS....." . Your journalling has to be at least 2 lines long, and with the theme of a whatever a perfect day for you is or a perfect day that you have had already e.g.  a birthday, a holiday, a childhood memory, a wedding day, graduation day etc. Your journalling can be ANY type : handwritten, typed, etc...

You MUST combine our journalling criteria with this sketch...

 This is my take on this challenge and I used my favorite photo from Ioli's baptism!!! A Perfect day....

A special thanks to Eleftheria who cut for me the "perfect" word with her big shot as I forgot to take any letters with me in Samos...

I have used papers, die cuts and stickers from Pink Paislee "Butterfly garden".

"Dream" - *Bird is the word*

Hello my dear friends!

I just got back from my summer vacation...first day in the office...back to reality...anyway...at least I can go back to my scrappy stuff as well! We had a great time on Samos, we relaxed, we went to the sea everyday, we ate a lot (but thank God we remain thin..lol) and I saw some good friends like Lena, Eleftheria and Katerina!!! I will post some photos next time!

This post is about the new word at "Bird is the word" which is:

DREAM

 

Of course DREAMS, DREAMED and DREAMING are also acceptable!

What you are required to do for this challenge is to create a layout, card or off-the-page/altered art project using the word DREAM {or one of the derivatives of the word DREAM mentioned above}.

You have FOUR WHOLE WEEKS to complete your project & load it in our sidebar using the Inlinkz tool under the correct word DREAM.
(as there are always 2 challenges running concurrently as we reveal a new word here every fortnight).

Cherry Nest DT & *The Scrappiest* Summer fun!

Hello my friends!

This is a great summer for me because good, exciting news keep coming!!!

I would like to announce that the talented Greek scrapbooker Elina Koutsouradi asked me to be a part of the designing team for her site "Cherry Nest"!!! This is a site where you can download pdf documents and print them out whenever you want to use them for your projects!!!

July 15th Challenge OUAS!

With this simple card,  I would like to wish you all a happy summer and happy summer vacation!!! I am on Samos island at the moment and enjoying the crystal waters and bright sun! I am not surfing in the internet a lot since I prefer surfing on the waves..LOL!!!

#127 "Story time" *The Scrappiest*

Hello everyone!

 There is a new sketch this week at "The Scrappiest" by Liz Chidester!

I decided to use Basic Grey papers "Sweet threads". I know it looks a bit "heavy" but I liked that paper and I wanted  to use it! This layout is about Nefeli and her favorite story "Peter Pan"!

I have used a lot of stickles on the flower petals to give sparkle , glossy accents on the letters to make them shine and I made the fuchsia flower by myself!

Scrapbooking in Greece Guest Designer & a new DT position!!!

Hello my scrapping friends!

I have two reasons to be SUPER excited!!! One reason  is that Elina Koutsouradi asked me to be the guest designer for July at the Greek challenge blog "Scrapbooking in Greece" ! Elina is a very talented scrapbooker who has created a ning site to host all Greek scrapbookers and I would  like to say thank you for that! The second HUGE reason is that Lena Makri, owner of the Greek on line scrapbooking shop "Enjoy Scrapping", asked me to be the permanent designer for her kits!!! How exciting is that? Woohoo!!! She will also have guest designers at times.Check out the announcement here!

So, I combined those two designing positions and I made a layout for Elina's challenge blog, using Lena's yummy summer kit and other products from "Enjoy Scrapping"!!!

This is what I made based on a sketch by Michelle Fowler.:

The tutorial I made for "Scrapbooking in Greece"
is how to create that 3D effect on your circle embellishments!

 

The next photos are not so good but you can see the glossy accents on the paper, bubbles and waves!
