"Remember" - mixed media layout

"Remember"

Hello my friends!!

This is a layout I made about my grandmother and great-grandmother!!

The base is chipboard so I could easily play around with mixed media
 techniques, misting,stamping, heat embossing!!! Here in Greece, fall is
coming so I have used fall colors!!!

I have used this gorgeous new Scrapmatts chipboard Window CB5102, which I have covered with gesso, distress inks (orange, green, brown) and distress heat embossing powder in walnut stain! The word "Remember" and the swirls below my main cluster, were made the same way but instead of the embossing powder, I used crackle accents on top!!

I have also used a small pigeon painted white!

For my main cluster I have used the beautiful Green Tara Heirloom,

 a yellow rose, a few cherry blossoms, a rosette, loop trim,

natural jute and a white azalea!!

I have also used Purple Pumpkin fabric and wooden buttons, craft tag and crochet doilies!!

In this close up you can see a small brown rose and the
 gorgeous bud & bow in brown/ivory!

And a smaller cluster with roses, cherry blossom, a brown leaf, 
white paper flower, loop trim and burlap!!

This layout was based on the sketch by Liz Chidester for My creative scrapbook which I have reversed.

"Fake photo smile" - Purple Pumpkin & TCR

Hello friends and followers!!!

A new month comes with a new sketch challenge from Purple Pumpkin!!!

And this time it is a very inspiring sketch because you can play with mixed media techniques to make the background!! Take a look at the sketch by Debbie Burns!!

 And my take on it....My DD Ioli was photographed at school and she is so cute with her "fake" photo smile haha I just had to scrap it!!!

I have used LOTS of Purple Pumpkin embellies such as: washi tapes, twine, fabric buttons, wooden button, flair button, felt & croshet doilies.

My color inspiration was from "The color room" and this wonderful palette...
