"All grown up" - Green Tara & Studio75 papers!!

"All Grown Up"
*Sketch by Nadia Cannizzo for OUAS!!

Hello my friends!
This layout is all about the friendship between my little girls and my
Godchild Andriana! They've known each other since they were
born and they feel like sisters!

All papers used for this layout are Studio75 from Poland!!!
I love their designs and the quality of the paper! So heavy and strong!!!
Perfect for mixed media!!!

To create the background, I have used two stencils and texture paste.
I then used orange and light blue chalk inks as well as some
glimmer mists to give colour! I have also stamped randomly around
 the page with background stamps.

My cluster is full of Green Tara goodies with the Wild rose flowers
being the stars! I have also used a white pincushion flower,
rose, a few lace flowers and four gorgeous orange skeleton leaves!!!

I have also used a cute little flair button with tiny hearts from Purple Pumpkin!

The light blue doily and the orange resin are from Purple Pumpkin!

Materials used:
Papers & chipboard house: Studio 75
Flowers & leaves: Green Tara
Flair button, doily, resin, washi tape: Purple Pumpkin
Stensils: Prima
Texture paste: Deco Art
Stamps: Glitz
inks: Ranger distress inks

"Lifetime of memories" - Imaginarium Designs GDT

Hello my friends!
This is the last page I made as guest designer for Imaginarium Designs chipboard!
I really enjoyed playing with various mediums to cover them up! It is so creative and fun!!!
Their shapes, flourishes and phrases are amazing!!!!
I feel so lucky and honored to be given this opportunity!!!

Here is my layout based on "Once Upon A Sketch" challenge! My two little DDs at Marina Flisvou. It's a beautiful place to visit for those living in Athens! We had a GREAT day and really enjoyed it! I ALWAYS have my photo camera wherever we go, to capture the moments and keep the memories alive!!!
Please take the time to check this article:
http://theorganisedhousewife.com.au/organising/storing-and-organising-your-digital-photos/
Here is a quote in the New York times, “Making lots of backups is good advice, and on different formats, different places; consider paper as an archival medium. Some paper we have has lasted thousands of years. If Moses had gotten the Ten Commandments on a floppy disk, it would never have made it to today.”

"Together" & a tag for GDT Imaginarium Designs!!!

Hello my friends!

Today I am sharing two more projects I made as a guest for Imaginarium Designs!LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their designs!!!!

I went mixed media crazy and I really enjoyed it!!!
This photo was taken at the birthday party of Nefeli's best friend!

Vinyl hearts, fabric buttons, denim flower, washi tape : Purple Pumpkin!!!!! (In LOVE)

Materials used for "together":
Papers: Crate, SEI, Hambly Studios.
Chipboard: Imaginarium Designs
Stamps: Glitz
Pearls: Prima
UTEE: Ranger
Embossing folder: Provocraft

I used the sketch from Scrap friends!

For the layout I have used these Imaginarium Designs pieces:
Girl Silhouette (as a mask)
12 Buttons on Board (I used 3 buttons and the base piece for layering)
Techniques:

Title & feather: I painted them black with acrylic paint, I randomly applied some turquoise with a brush and finally heat embossed them with clear UTEE.
Buttons: Two of them were randomly painted with acrylic paints (yellow, turquoise) and I painted the edges black to give them definition. The button in the cluster, I "dressed" it with patterned paper!
Small frame: I painted it orange and rubbed some white with my finger. Then I painted the edges black to give it definition.
Girl silhouette: I used the base as a mask, I draw the outline and then I dabbed some distress ink (broken China) with the applicator.
Button base: I painted it black, I embossed it using a cuttlebug folder and then I heat embossed it with clear UTEE.

                                                            ****

I have also made a tag! For the background I just applied randomly acrylic paints and Tattered Angels stamps!!!

Materials used:
Chipboard: Imaginarium Designs
Stamps: Tattered Angels
Acrylic paints: Unknown

For the tag I have used:
Small clock face
and phrase "Everyday goddess"

Techniques:

Clock & cogs: I applied distress inks randomly (Walnut stain, fired brick) and then I heat embossed it with clearUTEE.
Everyday goddess: I painted it yellow and then splashed some red acrylic paint using my brush.

And yes...you made it to the end of that post! Congratulations! Hehe...
I hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful!!!

"Checklist" - OUAS & CSI challenges

Hello again!

I decided to combine two GREAT challenges  which happen to work really good together at the moment!
I love these two challenge blogs because they urge you to do some journaling on your pages which I think is very important to scrapbooking! It is all about preserving our memories and the story behind the photos right???
So I am using sweet Nadia's sketch from "Once Upon A Sketch" and the theme "Summer".

And I am using the colors from "CSI"

CSI
Color: I have used all of the colors plus a little orange which does not cover more than 10% of my layout.
Evidence:
  • wood/woodgrain (wooden ice cream & heart)
  • liquid medium (paint, mist, etc.)
  • distressing
  • Use repetition of an element.(circles,flowers, pom-pom,stamps)
  • circles
  • Use a solid background
  • Include parallel lines (The pom-pom trims).
Testimony:
  • Document a vacation.
  • Inspiration Words: vacation -- use these as inspiration for your journaling
And this is my take!
It is my DD Nefeli and Lena's (my friend) DS Nicolas in Samos last year!

This Purple Pumpkin button was a perfect match for this layout!

The cutest little Purple Pumpkin pirate!!!

Here you can see a few PP tickets!

I have used the "summer papers" kit from Enjoy Scrapping!
