"Wish" Bird is the word"

We have a new challenge word to introduce today at "Bird is the word".....our new word to use on a layout or other project is:
 "WISH"
You will have one month to complete this project.  When the time is up for the challenge our design team will vote for a first place winner and four featured winners.

The first place winner will receive a blog badge and a kit from Tidbitz In Time.  All featured winners will receive a special badge for her blog.

The word "wish" is perfect for Christmas or Birthday layouts! And here is mine!!!
You made a wish to Santa and it came true!

I have used Echo Park's collection pack "Season's Greetings" which you can find at Enjoy Scrapping with ONLY 13.60euro!!! And believe me when I say it's one of the best EP collections! The papers & stickers are fantastic! I couldn't decide which one to use! And I am going to do a mini album too! It's perfect for that!!! And some close ups....

This is the "letter" to Santa and it comes out like a tag from that sweet envelope from "Rainbow Splendour"

This gorgeous handmade flower is by "Purple Pumpkin"

Here I cut a Sizzix snowflake, heat embossed it with a sparkling embossing powder, and then used the negative chipboard piece as a mask and misted with Tattered angels "Olive vine"

One more beer **The Scrappiest**

Hello my friends!
I have mixed feelings about this post as it is the last one I do as a member of "The Scrappiest" design team...
It was really fun to use Liz's inspirational sketches and I will definitely continue to use them!!!
I would like to thank Liz for giving me the opportunity to be a designer for the fist time and trusted me although I had no designing experience back then! I am really grateful!
So...here is sketch # 135

And this is my take using Echo Park "For the record", one of my favorite collections!!!
This is Nefeli when we visited Aigina...I wish I knew Aleka then, so I could visit her!!!
Maybe some other time!!!

This the collection and you can find it ---->HERE....believe me, you will love it!!!

There are also 3 small kits available at "Enjoy Scrapping" so hurry up!!!----HERE

"Sweet memory" **Bird is the word"

Hi there everyone!!! How are you?
I was out of town for 4 days, with no internet, so I have a lot of catching up to do!
Today's post is about "Bird is the word" and the new word is...

"MEMORY"

I think this is the most representative word for scrapbooking!
...and this is my creation..a sweet memory from Nefeli's Baptism!

and some close ups...

Of course I used everything from the kit "Victoria Garden" which you can find at "Enjoy Scrapping" among many yummy and economical kits!!!

I decided to make a step by step mini tutorial for this and I would like to hear your thoughts...do you find this helpful? (sorry for the bad photos but I scrap at night!!!LOL)

1. For the background, I used the stamp from the kit and white stazon ink!

2. I just pressed the stamp with my hands instead of using an acrylic base to avoid any peripheral lines.I also dropped some key lime pie glimmer mist here and there...

3. I cut out the patterned paper I chose to use, distressed the edges with the "distrezz it all" and ink the edges with vintage photo distress ink.

4. For the tag I stamped the letters with versamark ink, I heat embossed with UTEE clear and distressed the edges with vintage photo, peeled paint and worn lipstick.

5.You place the papers as you wish and glue them down

6.To make the photo pop out a bit, I used pop dots!

7. Take advantage of the flowers on your patterned papers! They look beautiful! Just trace them with a scissor.
8.To give shine to your flowers, you can add stickles or any kind of glitter!!!

9. And a little tip! You can temporarily glue your letters on an acetate piece(I used the packaging of the flourish bling) and move it around to see where exactly you wish your title to go!

I hope you enjoyed my looong post today!

Please make sure to visit and play along at "Bird is the word" because you could win a whole "Tidbitz in time" kit!!!
Have fun and Enjoy Scrapping!!!
