SnP - Love Spring, art journaling

Η άνοιξη είναι αγαπημένο θέμα!! Ειδικά για εμένα που λατρεύω τα χαρούμενα και έντονα χρώματα!
Στο blog του Scraps 'n pieces, θα βρειτε project της ομάδας που θα σας δώσουν μεγάλη έμπνευση!!

 Αυτή τη φορά αποφάσισα να παίξω με τα infusions για το background. Ρίχνεις τη σκόνη, ψεκάζεις με νερό και στεγνώνεις. Έτοιμο ένα πολύ καλλιτεχνικό background, γρήγορα κι εύκολα!

 Τα συγκεκριμένα χαρτιά της Karola είναι η χαρά του fussy cutting! Έχει πολλά στοιχεία που μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν ως επίκεντρο της σελίδας σας.  Με μερικές σφραγίδες γίνεται ακόμα πιο ενδιαφέρον το background, δένουν όλα μαζί και πετυχαίνετε το επιθυμητό αποτέλεσμα.

February challenge SnP!!! - Dare to blossom!!

Δε ξέρω για σας αλλά εγώ έχω ήδη αρχίσει να φταρνίζομαι που σημαίνει πως έρχεται η Άνοιξη σιγά σιγά!! Και τι καλύτερο απο ένα ανοιξιάτικο Moodboard απο το Scraps n Pieces, με υπέροχα χρώματα που σου φτιάχνουν το κέφι και σου ξυπνάνε τη δημιουργικότητα που ίσως και να είχες χάσει....

Φυσικά, με εμπνέει και το μοντέλο!!!

Αρχικά πέρασα το μελάνι versamark απο στενσιλ και έριξα διάφανη σκόνη για να δημιουργήσω ανάγλυφη επιφάνεια και αντίσταση (resist). Μετά πέρασα με σφουγγαράκι απο πάνω distress inks. Τέλος πάτησα μερικές σφραγίδες εδώ κι εκεί και πιτσίλισα με ink sprays.

Για τη σύνθεση, έβαλα πρώτα ενα κομμάτι γαζα και μετά έκοψα χαρτιά σε διάφορα μεγέθη και τα κόλλησα μεταξύ τους για να δώσω όγκο και βάθος. Στόλισα τις δυο άκρες με λουλούδια, chipboard  και κουμπάκια. Η τελική πινελιά για να πλαισιωθεί η σελίδα, ήταν το "journaling" που έκανα τριγύρω με ένα μαρκαδοράκι.

January challenge SnP!!!! Baby, it's cold outside!

Χρόνια Πολλά, εύχομαι σε όλους υγεία και δημιουργικότητα. Να έχετε ένα υπέροχο 2018!!

"Baby it's cold outside" είναι το θέμα μας για τον Γενάρη...και όντως, κάνει κρύο έξω, ελπίζω τουλάχιστον να ρίξει και στην Αθήνα λίγο χιονάκι!

Υπέροχο το moodboard του Scraps 'n pieces και αυτό το μήνα!! Εμπνεύστηκα απο το χιόνι, τις χιονονιφάδες, το πουλάκι, το σκούρο καφέ και το κίτρινο/πορτοκαλί χρώμα. Έτσι δημιούργησα ένα χειμωνιάτικο τοπίο στο art journal μου.

Βρείτε στο τέλος της ανάρτησης, λίστα με τα υλικά που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν.

 Το πέρασα όλο ένα αχνό κίτρινο ακρυλικό χρώμα αναμιγνύοντας dylusions paint “lemon zest” με λευκό. Απλώνεται πανεύκολα με ένα μωρομάντηλο ;) 

 Μετά σχεδίασα τους λόφους και τους έβαψα με “ground coffee” και λευκό. Με stencil και πάστα μοντελισμού έκανα τις χιονονιφάδες και τα δέντρα. 

Χρησιμοποίησα και glitter Stickles για να τονίσω κάποια σημεία και να δώσω ενδιαφέρον. Τα πουλάκια τα έβαψα και έκανα τη σκίαση χρησιμοποιώντας Faber Castell Big Brush Pens. 

Ελπίζω να σας εμπνεύσει η δημιουργία μου και να δοκιμάσετε κάτι αντίστοιχο! Αφήστε τη φαντασία σαςελεύθερη… :D

December challenge SNP!!!

Έφτασε και ο Δεκέμβρης, απο τις πιο ωραίες εποχές του χρόνου!!! Και φυσικά έχουμε νέα πρόκληση στο Scraps and pieces! H έμπνευση είναι καθαρά Χριστουγεννιάτικη και τα χρώματα τα κλασικά των εορτών, κόκκινο, πράσινο, χρυσό...

 Ένα mood board με παραδοσιακά χρώματα και ρουστίκ διάθεση! Country-style διακόσμηση, με κυρίαρχα τα στοιχεία του ξύλου, του μετάλλου και του γυαλιού.

Αποφάσισα να φτιάξω ένα καμβαδάκι για να μπεί πάνω απο το τζάκι και...voila....

Ξεκινάμε ντύνοντας τον καμβά με χαρτί περιτυλίγματος ή ριζόχαρτο για να δημιουργήσουμε ωραία υφή.

Περνάμε με σπάτουλα ή χοντρό πινέλο ή πιστωτική κάρτα, όλη την επιφάνεια με gesso αλλά όχι πολύ πηχτό, ώστε να φαίνεται και λίγο το σχέδιο που υπάρχει από κάτω.

Χρησιμοποιούμε στένσιλ και ακρυλικές μπογιές με σπάτουλα ή ενα σφουγγαράκι και δημιουργούμε ένα παιχνιδιάρικο background με διάφορα σχέδια και χρώματα τυχαία, χωρίς συγκεκριμένο προγραμματισμό.

Σειρά έχουν οι σφραγίδες! Πάλι τυχαία, με μαύρο ανεξίτηλο μελάνι, σφραγίζουμε γραμματάκια ή ότι άλλο θέλουμε.

Πάλι χρησιμοποιώντας στενσιλ και σπάτουλα, κάνουμε σχέδια με πάστα μοντελισμού.

Στη συνέχεια, σχεδιάζουμε σε χοντρό χαρτόνι ένα δέντρο. Υπολογίζουμε τις διαστάσεις με το "μάτι", έτσι ώστε να καλύπτει το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του καμβά μας.

Κόβουμε το δέντρο και το καλύπτουμε με διάφορες κορδέλες και δαντέλες.

Αν θέλουμε, φτιάχνουμε μπανεράκι. Εγώ χρησιμοποίησα μικρά ετικετάκια απο χαρτόνι  αλλά βασικά μπορείτε να βάλετε ότι θέλετε!! Τα πέρασα απο σχοινάκι που το έδεσα γύρω απο τον καμβά.

 Τελευταία πινελιά είναι γωνιακά σχέδια απο χαρτόνι που έβαψα με ακρυλική μπογιά και τα πέρασα με κρακελέ υγρό για λάμψη!

Πριν τοποθετήσετε το δεντράκι σας, φτιάξτε ένα καφέ περίγραμμα (εγώ το έκανα με gelato) το οποίο θα δημιουργήσει το εφέ της σκίασης και θα δώσει βάθος και όγκο στο δέντρο σας!!

November challenge - Scraps and Pieces!!! "Dreams"

Hello dear friends!!

A new challenge is up at Scraps and Pieces blog with a wonderful mood board. This time, pastel colors are used combined with gold and textures like wool and fur!!

Having two girls, pink is a must color for me, I combined it with light blue and gold. Apart from the colors, what inspired me was the fur and the handwritten note which gives a cosy feeling to the layout.

The texture you see at the background, was created by pleating paper tape which I covered with white gesso and then rubbed some shimmering paste/wax
over it.

SnP October Challenge!!

Hello dear friends!!!

There is a new challenge up to Scraps n pieces blog!!

Here is the WONDERFUL Mood board!!!

For this art journal page I obviously got inspired by the lovely photo of the vintage rusted car! I instantly fell in love with it!

For the color combo I was also inspired by the photo and I used wool and the quote from the mood board!

Infusions frenzy!!!

I am in love with this product! There are so many possibilities!

For this background I used the following steps:

• I primed the whole page with white gesso

• I spread the "A bit jaded" infusion with some white glue using a paint brush

• I did some stamping using background stamps randomly

• Next step was to use a stencil and apply modeling paste randomly on the layout

• I then covered the pages with clear crackle medium

• When it dried, I sprinkled some "Rusty car" Infusions and sprayed water over it

• I created the composition making sure there are some metal elements to match the whole concept ;)

• The edges were darkened using dylusions acrylic paint in order to create some depth

• To highlight the whole thing, I used some coper acrylic paint with my finger, again randomly

Long time no see...I have had a break from design teams for some time now but you know...when you have art and creativity flowing inside of you, you cannot resist it for too long. I needed a chance and a motive to start creating again and the Team of Scraps n' Pieces has given me this chance and I really appreciate that! Thank you very much, we are going to have lots of fun!!

While I was on holiday, I made this art journaling page out of "scraps and pieces" that I had in a small bag, which I call travel kit. The background was previously made (at home) by "Infusions". I got them a while back and I wanted to try them so I made some experiments, mixing colors and that color blast background, is the result. "Infusions" are quite unpredictable, I recommend them to people who are not very "neat", who like to get dirty and play around. I loved the outcome, the vibrant colors and the whole procedure!! I just dropped the powder and sprayed some water on top. There are many other ways to use them but we will figure it out in other projects ;)

Mixed media canvas, my 1st fairy girl!

Hello dear friends!

And here she is... my very first quilt fairy girl that has an actual face on haha!!!

And I love her soooo much!!! I can't even describe to you how much I enjoyed the process!!!! Visit Scarlet Lime and get a workshop by Christy Tomlinson! She is amazing, full of great ideas and just the style I love! Bold and happy!!
